Hansra High School (HS)

It is a Higher Secondary School located at a distance of 18.5 kms from Bolpur and 10 kms from Illambazar in the district of Birbhum. The school was first recognised as a 2 class high school and later on subsequently upgraded to 4 class, X class and ultimately to XII class (with Humanities only). The school is surrounded by a number of pretty good villages namely Hansra, Gorapara, Chhatarbandi, Bilati on the east and Makhra on west. Peoples of the surrounding areas are very much down to earth, cooperating with the school authority in every possible ways. Students are very much disciplined and obedient.

The School building is both two and three storeyed. It includes a pretty good number of Classrooms, Computer Lab, Laboratory (for Geography), Common room for students, Staff Room, Office Room, Library, Cluster Resource Centre, Kitchen for Mid Day Meal, Store Room for Mid Day Meal, Dining place for students under Cooked Mid Day Meal Programme. Walls of the classrooms are designed with different inspirational quotes, learning diagrams, etc.
